Drifter Pancake House

The staff is absolutely wonderful. They give a homey touch to everything they do and the food is delicious!

What's to say about the pancake house where everyone in town eats? And it's across the street from Denny's. Unlike Denny's, the Drifter is not a corporate chain. The Drifter has its own decor including porcelain tile, woven wicker window screens, 270° overview of busy Silver City, or sit on the other side of the table and watch the social dynamics of half the city's police force. This is not a bunch of cubicles, this is social eating. And the service is Speedy Gonzalez fast. You can't drink. 1/3 of. cup of. coffee and breakfast is served. I appreciate the ingredients are not overly processed food. The cheese. the green chilies and the eggs are the real deal. I like my English muffins a little more toasty, but they were piping hot. So if you're looking to take a gander at the social scene of Silver City, the Drifter Pancake house is it.

Good food, great service. Almost a five but ran out of what we wanted but service really made up for it.
